What's it like being a writer?

Let's put it like this: I have a notebook!

I can be and do anything in my notebook. I can follow a pattern or redesign my life on the pages of my notebook. I can draw, strikethrough, start over and edit anything in my life as a writer. So, why wouldn't anyone like to be a writer?

As a writer, I can do mountains, rivers, skies, clouds, a smiling sun, a friend, someone holding my hand and even someone who is able to take a test for me and with me. The notebook is my confident, my friend, my crying buddy, the one who cleans my tears, the one who gives me comfort and shelter in a regular basis.

The notebook is not judging my womanhood, my becoming a woman time, my adulthood, my motherhood, or my life. The notebook is my carousel, the lightning filled with words and thoughts that I might not be able to say out loud, but it is kept there. I have a notebook!

Whatever is written in me is kept in the notebook, pleasant or not, because life goes on and what can we do about our problems apart from writing them down? Writing them down is like a plan and it helps us think about fixing and starting over. The only thing the notebook might ask of me for is to not be forgotten somewhere around my house. Please, keep the notebook close to you and remember to write.

I don't know if you remember your first notebook, but I rememeber mine. With that notebook, I learned a lot. With that notebook, I learned that the failing experiences are as important as the right ones because if you're looking at the notebook in the right way, the mistakes are making you ready for the future. There is no learning in life without failing. The notebook teaches you that. Turn the page!

The notebook is a metaphor for life. When it seems like you're failing too much, remember the notebook. Remember that the teacher would tell you to turn the page, start over, and do it again, and that way you would realize how funny it is to begin again. You can start over!

When you turn the page, the mistakes stop bothering you, and from that moment, we can keep going. The notebook is not worried about what bothers us. It teaches us that mistakes are not to be blamed, they can be virtues. Life is the same way. Mistakes must be a way of learning. They are not blaming and shaming us. No human being can be a real leader without learning from their own mistakes.

One thing is to regret what happened, another is to feel guilty. Guilt paralize us. Regret doesn't. Regret can move us forward and help us fix our mistakes. God is like the notebook. God allows us to make mistakes so we can learn our own right way. That's why we all need a notebook, we all need to write.

Are you making a lot of mistakes? Who cares! Accept the new page of life, the new day that is called PRESENT. Remember the lessons of your notebook. When the mistakes are too much, turn the page! #WhyMeAndWhyNotMe

A poem is below for you:

Be

Sinélia Peixoto

I feel there is someone here

I see, it's coming, it's near

Speak, maybe they will

Love, maybe I feel.

I know not how to act

Neither I know how to react

To life, to day, to night, to love

To everything, and I feel I might be a dove.

Flying, dancing, hang gliding, I must be

In the air or diving in the sea

I feel expression is what I need

Though love is the first seed.

My thoughts, mind, soul, my body

Know only one thing

That I have nothing to prove

But I must need to be myself for myself.
